Relative to DepEd Memorandum No. 034 s, 2023, known as the Administration of the National Achievement Test for Grade 10 for the School Year 2022-2023, Tropical Village National High School administered the NAT to fifty-six (56) Grade 10 students on June 27.
Before the administration of the assessment, the testing materials, such as test booklets, answer sheets, and other paraphernalia, were closely checked before being handed over to the assigned proctors from Governor Luis A. Ferrer Jr. East NHS.
The fifty-six (56) Grade 10 students that were chosen based on a systematic random sampling technique took the standardized test to assess their learning and knowledge of 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, Information literacy, and critical thinking using learning areas in English, Mathematics, Science, Filipino, and Araling Panlipunan as the content.
The examinees were given five hours to accomplish the assessment. Each learning area has an hour of allotted time. Also, they were given ample time for their snacks and lunch.
Moreover, to determine the smooth flow of the NAT administration, Mrs. Ma. Cherina D. Manalo, Public Schools District Supervisor of Cluster 9, supervised and monitored the conduct of the assessment. She, together with Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, and Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, checked the testing rooms as well as the learners taking the exam.
The NAT G1O is one of the exit assessment tests under the national assessment framework of the K To 12 Basic Education Program. It is designed to determine if the Grade 10 learners are meeting the learning standards of the Junior High School (JHS) curriculum.
