The ground may shake without warning, but preparedness can make all the difference. With safety as its top priority, Tropical Village National High School (TVNHS) actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), equipping students, teachers, and personnel with essential knowledge and skills to respond during an earthquake.
During the drill, students and school personnel immediately practiced the essential safety procedure: โDuck, Cover, and Hold.โ As the simulated shaking ended, everyone carefully evacuated their classrooms and proceeded to their designated evacuation areas in an orderly manner.
Teachers and designated safety personnel guided the learners throughout the activity, ensuring that evacuation procedures were properly observed. The exercise also provided an opportunity to assess the school's emergency response, evacuation routes, and overall preparedness.
More than just a routine school activity, the earthquake drill served as a reminder that disasters can happen anytime, and being prepared is everyone's responsibility. It emphasized the importance of staying calm, following safety protocols, and working together to protect lives.
At TV High, safety is not merely taught inside the classroomโit is practiced, strengthened, and embraced by the entire school community.
Because when the earth shakes, readiness makes us stronger!
