Selected Tropicalian Muslim learners and teachers took part in the Musabaqah Skills Exhibition with its theme “ Reinforcing 21st century learning and Fostering Creative Industries through Talents and Skills Exhibition,” during the Division Festival of Talents in AP and Madrasah Education Program on May 30.
Selected Tropicalian Muslim learners showcased their skills in dancing as well as in singing during the event. Meanwhile, Mr. Jaymark Doca, School MEP Coordinator, served as facilitator during the competitions on Harf Touch, Qur’an Reading, that were participated by the elementary level.
Spearheaded by Dr. Yolanda DC. Lumanog, Education Program Supervisor in Araling Panlipunan and Madrasah Education Program, the activity was in line with DepEd Order No. 41, s. 2017, which aims at providing Muslim learners with appropriate and relevant educational opportunities while recognizing their cultural context and unique purposes for participating in the program offerings and integrating content and competencies that are relevant and of interest to Muslim learners. Also, this activity was a great avenue for intensifying awareness of the Non-Muslims to the culture, traditions, and language of Muslim learners.
The activity was participated by the School Heads, Asatidz, Madrasah Education Program coordinators in the elementary and secondary schools that implement the Madrasah Education Program.
