Tropical Village NHS conducted the SINuLiD Back To Square One Culminating Activity and Moving Up Ceremony led by the Mathematics Department on June 27.
The said event started with the culminating activity in which Mrs. Jenilyn S. Loyola and Ms. Arlyn F. Pasa, project proponents, under the supervision of Mrs. Lea P. Amon, OIC-Department Head, and the rest of the numeracy teachers prepared various games such as Giant Damath, Quiz Bee, and Math Crossword Puzzles. Each game was played by selected learners under the SINuLiD Back To Square One intervention project.
Learners enjoyed the above-mentioned games while exhibiting the learning and numeracy skills they developed and acquired during the duration of the numeracy intervention project.
After the fun and engaging culminating activity, the Moving Up Ceremony followed. It began with a warm welcome from Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, followed by the timely and relevant message delivered by Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, and then the Statement of Purpose from Mrs. Jenilyn S. Loyola, Master Teacher I.
The goal of the activity was to show how important it is for students to acquire skills in four fundamental operations through different school activities. Also, it seeks to recognize non-numerates who move forward to the next level of numeracy intervention and extend appreciation for the effort exerted by the numeracy enrichment students, teachers, and parents during the implementation of Project SINuLiD Back to Square One.
Overall, the culminating activity, the moving up ceremony, was a success as it was able to meet its main objective.
