TVNHS Receives Book Donation from De La Salle University-Manila

The Literature Department of DLSU-Manila donated a total of two hundred twenty-five (225) varied reference materials, including dictionaries, story books, junior high and senior high school books to TVNHS last March 21, 2024.

The school became one of the recipients of the “Alay Karunungan Book Donation Project” through the help of sir Genaro Rojo Cruz , Faculty , Literature Department of DLSU-Manila who assisted TVNHS teacher-representatives to make this activity possible.

The Book Turn Over took place in Conference Room C, Faculty Center of Literature Department, De La Salle University-Manila, in the presence of Dr. Antonette Arogo, Vice Chair, Literature Department, Sir Genaro Gojo Cruz, Faculty, Literature Department, faculty members with the leadership of Dr. Frances Anne Sangil, Chair, Literature Department of DLSU-Manila.

Meanwhile, TVNHS faculty members Ma’am Irene M. Dulay, Teacher III-EsP, Ma’am Lynn T. Dimacali, Teacher III-English, and Ma’am Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, attended the handover on behalf of TVNHS and its principal, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus.

TVNHS acknowledged profound gratitude for book donations from De La Salle University-Manila as part of its “Alay Karunungan Book Donation Project”.

The donated books will undoubtedly be used by Tropicalian students in a variety of classroom sessions and activities considering the volumes are varied and may cater to the various learning levels of our students.

Moreover, some of the donated books can be utilized in the school’s Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Program such as Project SINuLiD-SIKAP in Filipino, Project SINuLiD-STAR in English, and Project SINuLiD Back to Square One in Mathematics, while others are for teacher reference.
