Tropical Village National High School, through the TLE department, carried out the Technology and Livelihood Education Culminating Activity on May 9, 2024, with the theme “Tropicalian Youthpreneur: Showcasing Personal Entrepreneurial Skill Through T.L.E. Culminating Activity”.
The activity began with a formal welcome to all participants in the event as well as to the guests in attendance, who were Principal IV, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, along with PSDS of Cluster 8, Dr. Rogin O. Contemprato, and EPS-EPP/TLE/TVL Jofit P. Dayoc.
“Each student has a unique skill that they possess so that after school, they can face the industries,” said the principal. Furthermore, Dr. Creus stated that the culminating activity was a way for the TLE students to show how far they’ve come in terms of skills and also improve upon them.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jofit P. Dayoc, EPS-EPP/TLE/TVL, commended the school for coming up with such an activity and emphasized the important role that TLE plays in each person’s life. He also emphasized the connection between the activity and the Philippine Creative Industries Act, which advocates for government support for national businesses.
Moreover, Dr. Rogin O. Contemprato, PSDS-Cluster 8, was amazed at how the school gave the students the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in Dressmaking, Cookery, Bread and Pastry Production, Beauty and Nail Care, ICT, SMAW, and other exploratory courses for grades 7 and 8, and congratulated the school for having this kind of activity.
The gathering was filled with food booths from Grade 9 and Grade 10 Cookery and Bread and Pastry Production students, along with online services from Grade 9 ICT and Grade 9 Beauty Nail Care.
Students from Grade 9 Dressmaking staged a fashion show, showcasing their sleeping garments and gowns, while Grade 9 SMAW students showcased their welder’s attire. Additionally, an exhibition showcased the work of students from Grades 7 and 8. There were also additional surprises, such as the intermission numbers from selected students.
