Tropical Village National High School, under the leadership of Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, with the support of Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, OIC-Department Heads of Mathematics and Filipino, and all teachers in English, Filipino, and Mathematics, held a culminating activity that highlighted the different games in literacy and numeracy and recognized the progress of the learners in the three learning areas.
The activity was conducted in the TVNHS covered court on May 17, 2024. And it aims to highlight and recognize the improvement of the learner while at the same time recognizing it by giving medals and ribbons to those who excel in English, Math, and Filipino.
The program began with singing of the National Anthem, followed by a prayer through an audio-visual presentation.
During the opening program, Dr. Creus warmly welcomed the pupils, teachers, school heads from the recipient schools, and Mr. Bienvenido C. Ferrer Jr., PSDS-Cluster 4. And it was followed by Mr. Albin A. Cadimas, Principal IV-TVES, and Mr. Nelson H. Corpuz, Head Teacher I-Tapia ES, for a message of gratitude.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bienvenido C. Ferrer Jr., PSDS-Cluster 4 and Dr. Rogin O. Contemprato, PSDS-Cluster 8 expressed their message of support to this activity.
Similarly, Hon. Dennis Magsino, Chair, Committee on Education of Brgy. San Francisco, also expressed full support of the barangay to this activity under Brgy. Captain Ryan T. Santor.
Also, Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, explained the purpose of the said activity. And she was followed by Mrs. Lea P. Amon, OIC-Department Head-Math, for the presentation of the participants.
Then, exhibition games such as Talas Salitaan-Filipino, Human Word Spelling Bee-English, and Mathok Bola-Math were played by the pupils from TVES and Tapia ES. It was also participated in by the school heads: Sir Cadimas, Sir Nelson, and Sir Creus, PSDS of clusters 4 and 8, Mr. Ferrer, and Mr. Contemprato.
There were also an awarding of medals and ribbons to selected pupils from TVES and Tapia ES. Indeed, it was a meaningful and successful event for everyone.
