Tropical Village National High School, under the leadership of Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, with the support of Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, and Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, teaching and non-teaching staff, successfully conducted its 9th Moving-up Ceremony with the theme “Kabataang Pilipino Para Sa Matatag na Kinabukasan ng Bagong Pilipinas” at the school’s covered court this May 30.
The program began with a processional of the movers, with their parents, advisers, teaching and non-teaching staff, school head, and distinguished visitors from SDO General Trias City, namely, Dr. Rogin O. Contemprato, PSDS Cluster 10, and Laura O. Garcia, CID Chief personalities from the city government of Gen. Trias City, namely, Sir Aivan Barison, representative of Congressman Antonio “Ony” A. Ferrer, City Councilor Alfredo S. Ching, a representative of City Mayor Luis “Jon-Jon” IV, Ma’am Rowena Demotica, a representative of Vice Mayor Jonas Glyn P. Labuguen, and SK Chairman Kevin Andrei C. Trinidad.
The second part of the program started with the singing of the National Anthem, sung by the TVNHS Glee Club and led by TVNHS Drum and Lyre with Jade Rhodie B. Dela Rama, MAPEH Teacher. It was followed by a prayer led by selected grade 10 students.
Chloe M. Hidalgo, With High Honors student led the Pledge of Allegiance while Mrs. Carmina V. Lesondra, MAPEH Teacher, led the Gen. Trias Hym.
Meanwhile, P2LT Rev. Mark Joel C. Sibulo, an alumnus was the guest speaker in this important event to class 2023-2024. He gave a meaningful and inspiring message by sharing his positive and negative experiences while he was still studying which he said “it served as my motivation and inspiration in achieving my goals in life”. Also, he encouraged the students as he said these words, “start your goal by making progress because little progress is still progress don’t aim for perfection because if you fail, it will only result to disappointment and depression”. He ended it by saying, achieve your dreams, and live a life with a purpose”.
In addition, students were given a certificate of completion, and academic awardees were given a certificate of recognition and medals during the program. Also, students who excelled in different learning areas were recognized and given special awards.
On the latter part of the program, Wafa O. Omar, With High Honors, delivered a heartwarming and inspiring message of gratitude to all the people who became a part of her journey in junior high school which she finished with flying colors, as she received several awards.
