Selected Tropicalian learners participated in the community outreach activity conducted by LPU-Cavite’s Department of Computer Studies, organized by the Student Association for Technological Advancement (SATA) at the ICT room under the guidance of Ms. Alyssa Paola Pocaan, SATA Adviser; Ms. Marvilyn Rodriguez, BLIS Program Chair; and Mr. Mark Risen Caparas, SATA President, on October 30.

Selected Grade 11 students attended the workshop and competition conference, “SIAK KET LIBERAL: What It Takes to Be a Liberal Haribon”, held on October 29 at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, under the guidance of their teacher, Ms. Irene M. Dulay, from the SHS faculty.

On October 22, Ms. Regine C. Reforma, OIC – Department Head of TLE, convened a meeting with TLE teachers to discuss several important agenda such as TLE elective subjects, parental consent procedures, the updated curriculum matrix, the use of the STAR tool in classroom observations, and matters related to the school canteen.

Jenilyn S. Loyola, Master Teacher I, actively participates in the Four-day Workshop on the Validation of Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Materials for Enhancing Learners’ Foundational Skills for Key Stages 1, 2, and 3, held in Cebu City from October 22-25, 2024.

The Math Department holds SLAC on Building a Problem- Solving Culture and Content Knowledge Enhancement on October 21, 2024 at the multipurpose room.

Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, meets with the English teachers to discuss key topics, including observations on practice teachers, the use of the STAR tool during classroom observations, and activities for the upcoming English Month celebration.

Earlier today, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, convened a meeting with the teaching and non-teaching personnel to discuss urgent matters such as dengue cases, elective classes, intervention classes, preparation for Special Program for STE (Science, Technology and Engineering), SPED implementation, and other concerns that require immediate action.

TLE Department headed by Ms. Regine C. Reforma, OIC-Head, successfully conducted the LAC session entitled, “Crafting Contextualized Performance-Based Assessment” held on October 16 at the Multipurpose Room.

On October 16, twenty learners under Project SINuLiD SIKAP and Back to Square One enjoyed the breakfast meal generously prepared by the Panganiban family.

October 15

Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, along with Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, and Lea P. Amon, OIC-Department Head of Mathematics, presented certificates of recognition to students and coaches who won awards in the National Speed Math Contest, organized by Phil-MATHGUAGE. The awarding took place during the flag ceremony on Monday, October 14, 2024.
Also, Mark Eugene P. Garcia and Nicole V. Lopez, both Grade 10 learners, were awarded the Merit Award, though they were absent on the day of the ceremony. They were coached by Jenilyn S. Loyola, Master Teacher I.

Earlier today, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, sat with the elective subject teachers to discuss important matters concerning the 9 Elective subjects offered by the school to grade 10 learners.

Earlier today, Atty. Therese Ferrer from the office of Cong. Ony Ferrer visited the school to discuss the distribution of application forms for the Tulong Eskwela Program (TEP), for Senior High School, of Speaker Martin Romuladez of the House of the Representatives through the efforts of Congressman Ony Ferrer, 6th District of Cavite Representative.

TVNHS through Project SAGIP C.O.N.N.E.C.T conducted seminar entitled “Navigating Behavior: Pathways to Personal Growth”, held on October 11, at the Multipurpose room.
Ptr. Crisostomo Sibulo, Senior Pastor, Presbyterian Churches served as the Resource Speaker. He imparted real life lessons to selected Tropicalian learners.
Brgy. Chairman Hon. Ryan T. Santor, Brgy. Councilor and Chairman of the Committee on Education Hon. Dennis L. Magsino, and SK Chairman Kevin Andrei C. Trinidad expressed their full support to the event through their inspiring messages.

TVNHS conducted its First Quarter Parent-Teacher Conference last October 11.
Before the distribution of reports cards, each classroom adviser discussed the ff agenda: School rules and regulation, parent’s consent on the publication of their child’s pictures on the school fb page, anti-bullying campaign, class schedule, and elective classes for grade 10 learners.
Then, it was followed by the distribution of report cards where advisers reported to the parents/guardians the academic and behavioral status of their child.

TVNHS Celebrates Teachers’ Appreciation Day with the Theme, “Empowering Educators: Strengthening Resilience, Building Sustainability”
In support of Presidential Proclamation No. 242, s. 2011, Republic Act 10743, and the MATATAG agenda, TVNHS organized a week-long celebration for National Teachers’ Month. The event took place from September 26 to October 4, and it featured a variety of activities aimed at honoring the efforts and dedication of teachers.
With the theme “Empowering Educators: Strengthening Resilience, Building Sustainability,” the celebration included zumba sessions for teachers, a Digital Poster Making Contest, a “Teacher Ko, Idol Ko: Kalook-A-Like Contest,” and online voting for the Matatag Teacher Award. These activities were held in various venues around the school and were attended by teaching and teaching-related personnel, as well as students, showing the collective appreciation for educators.
The event highlighted the importance of fostering resilience among educators and promoting sustainability in the education system, in line with national goals.

On October 3, Grade 10 students in the Poultry Elective class, led by Mr. Jeffrey M. Rodil, prepared broiler chickens to turn them into market-ready dressed chickens, thereby showcasing their entrepreneurial skills.

TVNHS Teachers, together with Energetic Zumba Ladies and students enthusiastically danced and enjoyed the Zumba activity as part of the Teachers’ Day Celebration on Sept. 26, 2024 at the Covered Court.
