Tropical Village National High School conducted the seminar, “Navigating Behavior: Pathways to Personal Growth”, for selected Grade 7 to 11 learners on October 11, 2024, which aimed to equip students with the tools to set and achieve personal goals, foster resilience, and cultivate a growth mindset for continuous improvement.
The program commenced at noon with the registration of participants, efficiently facilitated by Mrs. Jane B. Dacaymat. Then, the event began formally with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. The anthem was accompanied by a stirring audio-visual presentation, which was followed by a solemn opening prayer.
Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV of Tropical Village National High School, he emphasized the importance of personal growth in today’s fast-paced world, where students must develop not only academically but also emotionally and socially.
The program continued with an uplifting message from Mr. Rogin O. Contemprato, PSDS of Cluster 8. He highlighted the department’s commitment to fostering the overall development of students.
The seminar also featured messages of support from local Barangay Officials, led by Brgy. Chairman Hon. Ryan T. Santor. Joining him were Hon. Dennis Magsino, Brgy. Councilor and Chairman of the Committee on Education, and SK Chairperson Hon. Kevin Andrei C. Trinidad.
Ms. Irene M. Dulay, Teacher III, delivered the statement of purpose, followed by the presentation of participants by Ms. Jennibeth Ilagan, Teacher III. Ptr. Crisostomo M. Sibulo, Senior Pastor of Peniel Presbyterian Churches, led a discussion on the importance of proper support and intervention for challenged and difficult learners. He provided strategies to help teachers encourage habitually absent or misbehaving students and emphasized to the learners the value of education in achieving their goals in life.
After the discussion, Mrs. Amorcita P. Endaya, Teacher II, facilitated an open forum. A certificate of recognition was awarded to Ptr. Crisostomo Sibulo by Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus for sharing his expertise.
Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, delivered the closing remarks, and Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I and OIC-Department Head of English, led the closing prayer.
