The Women’s Month Celebration at Tropical Village National High School was made even more special with the much-anticipated “Like Ko Si Ma’am” competition on March 28, 2025. The event honored the grace, wisdom, and dedication of female educators while fostering admiration and appreciation from students and fellow teachers.
The program commenced with the grand entrance of students, teachers, and the esteemed contestants of “Like Ko Si Ma’am.” The atmosphere was filled with excitement as everyone gathered to witness this empowering event. The opening ceremony began with the solemn singing of the National Anthem, followed by an ecumenical prayer presented through an audiovisual presentation.
Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, warmly welcomed the audience in his opening remarks, emphasizing the significance of Women’s Month and the invaluable contributions of female educators to the school and the community. Following his speech, Mrs. Laura C. Garcia, Chief of the Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID) of the Schools Division Office (SDO), delivered an inspiring message. She highlighted the resilience and dedication of teachers in shaping young minds and encouraged everyone to continue uplifting and supporting women in education.
The highlight of the event was the participation of the teacher-contestants, who represented different grade levels. Mrs. Carmina V. Lisondra, Teacher III, represented the Grade 7 level; Ms. Camille Cads, Teacher I, was the Grade 8 representative; Ms. Hadassah V. Recare, Teacher I,represented Grade 9; Mrs. Lynn T. Dimacali was the Grade 10 representative, and Mrs. Eva S. Arguelles represented Grade 11.
These educators showcased not only their poise and confidence but also their skills in a ramp walk that exuded grace and elegance. Furthermore, they demonstrated their wit and intellect as they interpreted random pictures of women, articulating insightful perspectives on the role of women in society.
A percentage of the online likes, hearts, and shares contributed to the triumph of the contestants. Ms. Camille Cads was hailed as Ms. TVNHS 2025 Teacher’s Edition, followed by Mrs. Carmina V. Lisondra as the 1st Runner-Up, Mrs. Lynn T. Dimacali as the 2nd Runner-Up, Ms. Hadassah V. Recare as the 3rd Runner-Up, and Mrs. Eva S. Arguelles as the 4th Runner-Up.
The winners were awarded by Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, Mrs. Arlene M. Hernandez, PSDS Cluster 9, and Ms. Noemi V. Varias, SDO Planning Officer III.
