Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, Tropical Village National High School successfully held its Culminating Activity and Moving-up Ceremony on April 8, 2025, at the school’s covered court. The event commenced with the registration of participants facilitated by Ma. Teresa A. Colada, Teacher II, and Mary Jane G. Valdez, Teacher III.
The formal program began with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the Azan (Call to Prayer) led by Grade 10 learner Arsahaik Amilhamza. The opening prayer was delivered by Mahmud Bangsa, a Grade 9 student.
Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus warmly welcomed all attendees, followed by a message of support from Dr. Yolanda D.C. Lumanog, Education Program Supervisor – Araling Panlipunan and Division MEP Coordinator. The Statement of Purpose was presented by Abdulraman Macaampao, Asatidz from Tropical Village Elementary School. A Qur’an Reading was performed by Mahalayeh K. Patadon, a Grade 6 pupil. The cultural richness of the event was further highlighted through a traditional Pangalay Dance, depicting a Muslim wedding dance, performed by a Muslim parent. The program also featured a Nasheed (solo) by Hamna B. Bacaraman, Grade 5 pupil, and a Nasheena (oration) by Arham Datu Olama, Grade 10 student.
One of the main highlights of the ceremony was the awarding of certificates of completion and special awards to both elementary and secondary learners. This part was facilitated by Dr. Yolanda D.C. Lumanog, Dr. Josenia Fernando, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, and Mrs. Imelda S. Arevalo, Principal II of Tropical Village Elementary School. In this part, Mahalayeh K. Patadon, a grade-6 pupil was recognized for being the First Place in Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT) and a qualifier in National Festival of Talents (NFOT) in Qur’an Reading.
Before the program concluded, Mahalayeh K. Patadon returned to deliver a heartfelt message of gratitude. The event culminated with a group performance of Nasheed (Tala Al-Badru Alayna) by the elementary and secondary ALIVE completers, which filled the venue with unity and pride.
To officially close the program, Mrs. Imelda S. Arevalo, Principal II of TVES delivered her closing remarks and Abdulrhaman M. Macaampao, Asatidz-TVES, led the Closing Prayer, offering blessings for the continued success and well-being of all learners. This event ended with a joyful fellowship (salu-salo) where participants shared meals and stories, celebrating their collective achievements. More than an academic milestone, the event was a vibrant display of cultural pride, faith, and unity, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, value-driven learners.
