Earlier today, Tropical Village National High School (TVNHS) successfully conducted a Capacity Building on Rendering Gender-Responsive Committee Performances and Services Aligned with School Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) for School Year 2025-2026, which was actively participated in by both teaching and non-teaching personnel.
This capacity-building activity aimed to empower school personnel to effectively perform gender-responsive committee functions in accordance with existing laws, regulations, and organizational policies, thereby ensuring the delivery of inclusive, responsive, and equitable educational services.
The program commenced with the registration of participants, facilitated by Lina M. Potante, Master Teacher I, and Emely B. Castro, OIC Department Head. The National Anthem and Ecumenical Prayer were presented through an audio-visual presentation, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the event.
Ms. Jennibeth V. Ilagan, Master Teacher I, officially presented the participants, followed by the Welcome Remarks delivered by Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV. In his message, Dr. Creus emphasized the significance of developing competent and gender-sensitive committees that can greatly contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s operations and services.
Ms. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, delivered the Statement of Purpose, clearly outlining the objectives and the expected outcomes of the capacity-building activity.
The Resource Speaker, Atty. Aaron Anthony S. Labordo, Attorney III and Legal Officer of SDO General Trias City, was introduced by Ms. Angelita P. Allarey, OIC Department Head.
Atty. Aaron Anthony S. Labordo comprehensively discussed Ttopic focusing on: executing committee performances in compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational policies, where he provided valuable legal perspectives and best practices essential to committee operations.
Following the discussion, the participants engaged in a workshop focused on crafting strategies and action steps based on specific scenarios or situations assigned to each group. During this activity, they collaboratively developed strategic committee plans aimed at improving gender-responsive practices within the school.
The Presentation of Outputs allowed each group to showcase their proposed solutions to the assigned tasks. Atty. Labordo provided technical assistance by reviewing each group’s output to ensure alignment with legal standards and educational priorities.
An Open Forum followed, which provided an opportunity for participants to raise concerns and seek clarification on committee-related issues.
The Awarding of Certificates was jointly facilitated by Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, and Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, in recognition of the valuable contributions and active participation of all attendees.
The event concluded with Closing Remarks delivered by Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, who emphasized the importance of continuously enhancing committee performances through collaboration and shared accountability.
