On August 29, Ms. Regine C. Reforma, Head Teacher I/ADM Coordinator, convened a coordination meeting with Open High School advisers and subject teachers to discuss LIS tagging, Learning Plans, the FLP One-Stop Shop, and other important concerns.

Earlier today, Tropicalian teachers conducted the 1st Quarter Parent-Teacher Conference. During the PTC, classroom advisers discussed important matters with parents, including the IRR on the Anti-Bullying Act, major offenses and sanctions in the School Handbook, deworming, immunization, and other relevant issues and concerns. They also explained to the parents the academic and behavioral status of their children.

Tropical Village National High School is now celebrating its Grand Alumni Homecoming 2025 with the theme “Tatlumpung Taon ng Progresibo at Inklusibong Paghubog sa Batang Tropicalian.” This special gathering unites Alumni, Teachers, and Students to honor 30 years of memories, achievements, and the proud Tropicalian spirit.

Earlier today, the English, Science, and Mathematics Department successfully concluded their 3-day Seminar-Workshop on Crafting Competency-Based Activity Sheets for Grade 7 and Grade 10 Enhancement Classes.

The activity was made more meaningful through the technical expertise and guidance of Dr. Lynette P. Rue, EPS-Mathematics, and Ms. Maricel P. Malabanan, EPS-Science, who provided the participants with in-depth assistance in designing comprehensive, learner-centered activity sheets.

This initiative aims to further strengthen the delivery of quality instruction and ensure that Tropicalians are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed in their academic journey.

On August 27, Science department successfully concluded their 2-day LAC session entitled “Capacitate Science Teachers on the Development of Strategic Intervention Materials (SIMs) for Least Mastered Competencies in Science for the First Quarter.”

On August 27, English, Science, and Mathematics (EnSciMa) teachers collaborated in crafting competency-based activity sheets for Grade 7 and Grade 10 enhancement classes.

August 28

On August 27, the Filipino Department, headed by Mrs. Emely B. Castro, conducted the first “Midweek Talk Series: Gen Z at ang Pagbabago ng Wika”, which was discussed and facilitated by Mrs. Aileen A. Sidamon in connection with the celebration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa.

Midweek Talk Series is a school-initiated afternoon activity designed to engage and enrich the learning experience of all Grade 10 learners. It is held every Wednesday afternoon for one hour and serves as a meaningful platform where students are exposed to a wide range of topics, issues, and awareness campaigns that go beyond the usual classroom discussions.

Earlier today, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, held a coordination meeting with the Head Teachers and OIC-Department Heads to discuss key agendas, including updates on the Medical Allowance, Flexible Learning Program (FLP) One-Stop Shop, LIS tagging, 1st Quarter PTC, Midweek Talk Series, Alumni Homecoming, upcoming school activities, and other important matters.

Elises, EPS II-SMME, Mr. Ramy R. Dalida, Principal IV of Gov. Ferrer Memorial Integrated NHS, and Mrs. Marisol C. Sombrero, Head Teacher III/ADM School Coordinator of Gov. Ferrer Memorial Integrated NHS, actively attended and participated in the three-day Regional Orientation for the 100 Pilot School Implementers of the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) One-Stop Shop Program held at M.I. Sevilla Resort, Lucena City, on August 25–27, 2025.

On August 22, the Science Department, headed by Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, conducted Day 1 of its Learning Action Cell session entitled “Capacitating Science Teachers on the Development of Strategic Intervention Materials for the Least-Mastered Competencies in Science for the First Quarter.”

On August 20, selected Tropicalian learners received counseling from Journey Church Philippines–General Trias, marking the start of a meaningful partnership dedicated to promoting mental health and overall well-being.

Through this collaboration, learners are provided with guidance, support, and encouragement as they navigate personal and academic challenges, fostering holistic growth, emotional resilience, and lifelong success.

Earlier today, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, convened a faculty meeting to address significant agendas, including the Revised IRR of the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, updates on intervention and enhancement classes, elective subjects, values formation for Grades 7 and 10, STE and OHSP classes, PEP Talk for Grade 10, submission of grading sheets, PTC, upcoming school activities, and other important matters.

The 10th DepEd CALABARZON Gawad Patnugot Regional Validation Team, led by Ms. Emelia P. Crescini with members Mr. Ariel M. Azuelo and Ms. Nadina G. Gaton, meticulously reviewed and validated the MOVs presented by Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus for the Stage 2 Qualifiers Validation in the Outstanding Secondary School Head category.

Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, OIC-SDS, together with Mrs. Laura O. Garcia, CID Chief, Mrs. Arlene M. Hernandez, PSDS–Cluster 9, and Dr. Yolanda DC. Lumanog, EPS–AP, showed their support and oversaw the smooth conduct of the validation.

On August 17, Tropicalian boxer Kenneth Llover displayed strength and focus in the ring, remaining undefeated with an impressive record of 15-0-0 (10 KOs) after his recent fight against Luis Concepcion of Panama at the Winford Resort and Casino Manila.

On August 18, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, conducted a mentoring session with Mrs. Jane B. Dacaymat, ARAL Reading–Project SINuLiD STAR Coordinator, focusing on the utilization and demonstration of the newly developed Systematic Techniques and Approaches in Reading (STAR), a reading assessment tool designed to enhance students’ literacy through guided techniques and interactive modules.

Earlier today, TVNHS started the week with its regular flag-raising ceremony, fostering unity and patriotism among students, teachers, and staff. The event served as a meaningful gathering to remind everyone of their shared commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and community spirit.

It also provided an opportunity to highlight important announcements on the Revised IRR of the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, introduce the School’s Learner Formation Officers, and witness the oathtaking of the TVNHS Dance Troupe Club, all of which set the tone for a productive week ahead.

Open High School students demonstrated enthusiasm and dedication in today’s Saturday class as they accomplished all the activities, performance tasks, and quizzes prepared by their teachers.

On August 15, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus convened a coordination meeting with the Designated Learner Formation Officers and the Guidance Advocate to discuss the Revised IRR of the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, with the aim of ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all Tropicalian learners.


The TVNHS Mathematics Department, headed by Lea P. Amon, Head Teacher I, with the support of Grade 7 and Grade 8 teachers—Ms. Arlyn F. Pasa, Teacher II, and Mr. Jose M. Amparo, Teacher III—conducted Math classes using Khan Academy in the school’s computer laboratory. The class sessions began on July 30, starting with an orientation on the use of Khan Academy.

On August 14, Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, facilitated a meeting with the Science teachers at the Science Lab to discuss various school matters, plan activities for the upcoming Science Month celebration, and address the upcoming LAC session, while also providing important updates to the teachers.

Earlier today, the SGOD–School Health and Nutrition Unit, headed by Dr. Mary Grace E. Javier, Medical Officer III, monitored and validated the implementation of the Healthy Learning Institutions (HLI) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools (WinS), as well as the operations of the school clinic, the school canteen, and the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP), which aim to create a healthy and safe learning environment for students by addressing their health and nutritional needs.

SPTA Oathtaking Ceremony

Hon. Martin Nicholo A. Ferrer, City Councilor of Gen. Trias City, together with Hon. Ryan T. Santor, Brgy. Chairman, Hon. Dennis L. Magsino, Brgy. Councilor, Hon. Kevin Andrei C. Trinidad, SK Chairman, and Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, officiated the oathtaking ceremony of newly elected SPTA Officers for S. Y. 2025-2026 on August 08, 2025 at TVNHS Covered Court.

Mentoring Session

On August 12, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, conducted mentoring sessions and provided technical assistance to selected Tropicalian teaching and non-teaching personnel in preparation for the school’s continuous improvement initiatives and upcoming programs and activities.


DRRM Olympics 2025

On August 12, the TVNHS DRRM Club, composed of 16 selected Tropicalian learners, actively participated in the DRRM Olympics 2025 at the General Trias City Sports Park. The event featured competitions such as the first-aid relay, fire hose relay, and bucket relay, providing learners with the opportunity to apply their DRRM-related training.


School-School Partnership on Aquaculture with SBES

Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, together with Mrs. Arlene M. Hernandez, PSDS–Cluster 9, Ms. Ma. Glecita C. Columna, EPS–English, Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, and the SBES teachers, graced the turnover of more than 50 tilapia fingerlings, produced from the TVNHS fish ponds, to Sunny Brooke Elementary School (SBES). The activity also highlighted the sharing of the school’s best practices in tilapia breeding, marking the beginning of a strong School-to-School Partnership on Aquaculture.

Mentoring Session

Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, provided comprehensive mentoring to Mrs. Rosemarie T. Gayas, ICT teacher, and Mr. Joey M. Dolindo, Math teacher, on accessing, updating, and organizing important documents in the School Portal, which serves as a one-stop shop for data gathering, as well as maximizing the use of the School Website to showcase the institution and disseminate information through its social media platforms.
