TVNHS Teachers Participate in the Teacher’s Day Celebration Kick-Off, Initiated by the SDO GenTri with the Support of the LGU of General Trias City

On September 5, 2025, the SDO GenTri formally opened its annual Teacher’s Day celebration with a fun and meaningful Kick-Off Event to recognize and appreciate the community’s educators. WELL: Wellness for Educators and Learning Leaders was inaugurated by SDO General Trias City at the General Trias Convention and Cultural Center to promote the city’s Everyday is Teachers’ Day (ETD) Program. The celebration included a variety of activities aimed at providing educators with a well-deserved relaxation and encouraging educator solidarity.

Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, in his motivating address, stressed the importance of teachers, saying, “Kayo ang dahilan, dangal, and galing ng ating lungsod. The superintendent emphasized that the quality of education is dependent on the quality of the educators. The City Mayor, Hon. Luis “Jon-Jon” A. Ferrer IV, reminded teachers of their significance in every learner’s success. He also distributed 235 laptops to newly hired teachers.

The event, which drew teachers from all over the city, featured a variety of wellness and relaxation activities, including free manicure and pedicure stations, calming massage services, laughter yoga sessions, and complimentary health checkups. These efforts aim to promote self-care and well-being among teachers, recognizing their vital role in shaping the next generation.

The event is one of several activities planned for the month-long celebration of Teacher’s Day, intending to build a supportive community of educators and recognize their vital contributions to society. The laughter yoga session was particularly popular, with experts leading group movements to encourage pleasure and stress alleviation. Volunteer medical experts provided free health check-ups, offering essential screenings and health advice, and highlighting the importance of wellbeing beyond the classroom. Raffle drawings sponsored by our beloved LGU, led by Mayor Luis “Jon-jon” Ferrer, added to the excitement and made the day extra memorable for the teachers.

As the celebrations continue, the General Trias City Local Government remains committed to supporting its teachers not only on this particular day but throughout the year, to ensure they feel valued and empowered in their noble vocation.

A warm thank you to all of the great LGU and DepEd officials who helped make the event a success and demonstrated their dedication to uplifting the teaching profession. Teachers are respected for their sacrifices and dedication in creating a better future for all Gentriseño learners.
