Lorica, Teacher II, successfully presented their research entitled “Project SINuLiD Back to Square One: Remediation for K-10 Curriculum and National Mathematics Program” and “SINuLiD STAR: Developing Learner Literacy Skills as a Learning Recovery in a Diverse Learning Environment” during the 10th BERF Cycle Commencement Activity held via MS Teams.

Earlier today, Mr. Isaias R. Paraiso Jr., Head Teacher I and School Facilities Coordinator, convened a coordination meeting with the Security Guard, POSG, and School Maintenance Personnel to discuss cleanliness, safe water sanitation, and their respective duties and responsibilities.

On September 19, barangay health workers inspected the school to identify and remove stagnant water and other potential dengue breeding sites, ensuring student safety by checking areas where mosquitoes could breed.

On September 19, as part of the Science Month 2025 Celebration, the Science Department conducted its second activity, “Snapshots of Change: Stories of Spaces and Solutions.”

Tropicaliansshowcased unique insights about how science can change spaces, tackle urgent problems, and offer sustainable solutions for the future.

Each story and snapshot reflects the vision of our youth in shaping a world that is resilient, adaptive, and filled with possibilities.

On September 17, TVNHS, led by Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, and LGU San Francisco officials—Hon. Ryan T. Santor, Brgy. Chairman, Hon. Kevin Andrei C. Trinidad, SK Chairperson; and Hon. Dennis L. Magsino, Brgy. Councilor—signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to strengthen efforts in ensuring the safety and security of learners in and around the school premises.

Kevin Andrei Trinidad, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson, in personally inspecting the school’s collapsed fence wall to plan its immediate reconstruction and ensure learners’ safety.

Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, assisted Mrs. Arlene M. Hernandez, PSDS-Cluster 9, in overseeing selected Grade 10 students from the TechPro-Poultry Elective class, under the guidance of Mr. Jeffrey M. Rodil, TLE teacher, as they showcased their entrepreneurial skills by preparing broiler chickens and processing them into market-ready dressed chickens as part of TVNHS’ Farm to Plate activity.

Mrs. Edith M. Movilla, Mrs. Amorcita P. Endaya, and Mr. Jeffrey M. Rodil, TLE teachers, demonstrated the proper planting, care, and harvesting of vegetables from the Gulayan sa Paaralan through Urban Gardening activities and assisted selected Tropicalian learners throughout the process.

Earlier today, the Science Department, headed by Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, conducted the third session of the “Midweek Talk Series” on Teenage Pregnancy. The discussion was facilitated by Hon. Ryan T. Santor, Barangay Captain of San Francisco, in line with DepEd Order No. 25, s. 2025 on the implementation of Reproductive Health Education (RHE) for adolescent learners.

The activity aimed to raise awareness among students about the causes and consequences of teenage pregnancy, promote responsible decision-making, and encourage healthy lifestyle choices.

Earlier today, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, facilitated an Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) session for selected Grade 7 learners, in accordance with DepEd Order No. 018, s. 2025.

The ARAL Program is a national initiative that provides targeted support to students struggling in Reading, Mathematics, and Science, helping them strengthen their foundational skills and bridge learning gaps to keep up with their academic progress.

Earlier today, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, together with Resnan Jade L. Teves, Charles Axl R. Torregosa, and Ronald Jr. D. De Paz from the Grade 10 Science Investigatory Project (SIP) class, conducted water testing on the Tropicalian fish ponds during their elective class.

Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, spearheaded the final validation for the ARAL Math–SINuLiD Back to Square One.

This activity served as a comprehensive assessment of selected learners’ competencies to determine the effectiveness of the intervention program in addressing their learning gaps in Mathematics.

Tropicalian Open High School students show determination and focus as they attend Saturday classes for the 2nd quarter of School Year 2025–2026.

The Open High School Program allows learners to study at their own pace while balancing personal responsibilities. It promotes resilience, perseverance, and lifelong learning by providing flexible opportunities for students to continue their education despite challenges.

On September 12, the Science Department kicked off the Science Month 2025 Celebration with the its first activity: Plantastic PET Pots Contest.

Tropicalians showcased their creativity and commitment to sustainable development by transforming discarded PET bottles into innovative, eco-friendly plant pots.

This engaging activity not only highlighted their artistic flair but also fostered environmental awareness and responsibility among our learners.

This activity is just the start of a more exciting, meaningful activities that inspire innovation and eco-consciousness!

Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, purchased a water testing kit for use in the Tropicalian fish ponds to determine the safety of the fishes. Resnan Jade L. Teves, Charles Axl R. Torregosa, and Ronald Jr. D. De Paz from the Grade 10 Science Investigatory Project (SIP) Elective class conducted the water testing, explained the process, and reported that the results were within normal levels, with a nitrate level of 50 and a nitrite level of 1–5, based on the scale indicated on the tester.

Tropicalian students proudly demonstrate their patriotism and respect during a solemn flag retreat, embodying discipline, unity, and love for the nation. This meaningful activity nurtures in every learner the values of nationalism, responsibility, and respect as they conclude the school week with honor and dignity.

TVNHS participated in the Virtual Orientation on the French Language Course for the Special Program in Foreign Language (SPFL) French Language in partnership with the Department of Education-Central Office, Embassy of France to the Philippines, Alliance Française de Manille, Regional and Schools Division Offices and Schools on Sept. 10, 2025 thru online.

Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, together with Mr. Jeffrey M. Rodil, ICT Teacher, and Mrs. Jacqueline D. Leaban, TLE Teacher, assisted the Ipilan Barrio School teachers, led by Ms. Cynthia R. Pinpin, in benchmarking the School Portal.

During the activity, they also demonstrated the basic processes and essential information in creating and managing a school portal, highlighting its importance in improving school operations, communication, and accessibility of information.

Mr. Jeffrey M. Rodil , ICT Teacher, along with OJT students from AISAT College, installed 5 new tablets in the school library, supplementing the existing computer resources for student use. The addition of tablets will provide students with expanded access to digital tools and further enriching their learning experience.

Earlier today, Tropicalian learners, teachers, and staff united in the weekly Flag Raising Ceremony, demonstrating respect, discipline, and love for our country. This meaningful weekly activity serves as a reminder of our shared commitment to patriotism, unity, and the values that guide us as a school community.

On September 5, 2025, TVNHS teachers joyously participated in the Teachers’ Day Celebration Kick Off at the General Trias Culture Convention Center. It was a pleasant and meaningful activity that included laughter and relaxation as teachers participated in various activities for the SDO GenTri’s WELL program, also known as WELL: Wellness for Educators and Learning Leaders, with the support of LGU of General Trias City.

Selected Senior High School learners conduct peer tutoring to motivate and assist their peers, especially those struggling in academics, helping them improve and succeed in their learning journey.

The Project SAGIP-C.O.N.N.E.C.T. Peer Tutoring activity aims to support learners in need of academic assistance by guiding them toward their full potential and making their learning journey easier through peer-to-peer support.

Earlier today, TLE and Senior High School teachers convened a meeting to discuss matters concerning learners with failing grades and subjects, Google Classroom, the list of Open High School learners, elective classes, Intramurals 2025, SPIRPA, upcoming school activities, and other related concerns.

Sa pangunguna ng Departamento ng Filipino ay naging matagumpay ang pampinid na palatuntunan ng Buwan ng Wika sa pamamagitan ng pagpapakita ng mga talento ng mga mag-aaral na may temang “ Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa”, na ginanap kanina Setyembre 3, 2025.

Binigyan ng medalya, sertipiko ang mga natatanging mag-aaral na nagpakita ng husay sa pagsulat at pagbigkas ng tula at talumpati, sanaysay, tradisyonal at digital poster slogan, sabayang pagbigkas, balagtasan, bidyokasiya at tahi ng kabataan. Itinampok din sa nasabing programa ang pagrampa ng ilang kababaihan suot ang iba’t ibang Filipiniana na tinahi ng mga mag-aaral mula sa baitang sampu at labing isa. Naging highlights din ng programa ang mga pampasiglang bilang na ipinakita ng mga SNED learners, gayundin ng mga piling mag-aaral mula sa baitang 7 hanggang 12.

Binigyan diin ng punongguro IV na si Dr, Mark Airon P. Creus ang kahalagahan ng wikang pambansa tungo sa kaisahan ng ating bansa at paaralan na ayon nga sa kanya ay magsilbing paalala daw ang kaganapan sa nakaraan patungo sa magandang hinaharap. Natapos ang programa na may ngiti at saya ang bawat isa, taglay ang magandang aral na hatid ng pambansang tema ng Buwan ng Wika.

Creus, Principal IV, convened a coordination meeting with the Head Teachers and OIC-Department Heads to discuss key agendas, including the LR Google Classroom, ARAL Learners’ Workbook, the List of Learners with failing grades and subjects, Intramurals 2025, SPIRPA, upcoming school activities, and other important matters.

Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, formally received Special Order No. OHSP-21-002, s. 2025, designating TVNHS as an official implementer of the Open High School Program. The special order was presented by Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, SDS, together with Mrs. Arlene M. Hernandez, PSDS-Cluster 9, and Cluster 9 School Heads during the Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting at the SDO General Trias City Office.

On August 30, Mrs. Lynn Dimacali, Mrs. Sonia Reyes, and Mrs. Angelita Allarey, Alumni Advisers, together with Mrs. Jennelyn Santos, Former Alumni President, facilitated the election of Alumni Officers. The activity aimed to strengthen the organization by electing a new set of leaders who will spearhead future alumni programs, projects, and initiatives in support of the school and its stakeholders.

Congratulations to the newly elected officers as they embark on their term of service and commitment to the Alumni community.

On August 30, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus held a coordination meeting with Brgy. San Francisco Councilors, Hon. Eduardo Umali, Hon. Noel Lacson, and Hon. Leonardo Martinez, headed by Brgy. Captain Ryan Santor. The discussion centered on the results of the School Planning Team meeting, particularly the inclusion in the School Improvement Plan (SIP) of Barangay Tanod visibility inside and outside the school vicinity to ensure the safety of learners.
