Tropicalian learners enjoyed the activities conducted during the Science Month celebration with the theme “Agham at Teknolohiya: Sandigan ng Kalusugan, Kabuhayan, Kaayusan at Kinabukasan on September 1- October 6.
With the aim of showcasing the talent and skills of every student, enabling students to enjoy science concepts, promoting and nurturing interest in science and technology, and demonstrating the importance and relevance of science to the future development of our society and economy, the Science Department, led by Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, prepared a series of activities and exciting competitions in consonance with the said celebration.
On September 1-15, Tropicalian learners showcased their skills in poster-making contests, infomercials, Scitalk, while on October 2, the elimination round for G. at Bb. Kalikasan 2023 was held.
In addition to the thrilling competitions, the closing ceremony which happened last October 6, which capped the Science Month Celebration, was the highlight of the celebration for Tropicalian students.
Mrs. Maricel Malabanan, Science Education Program Supervisor, was in attendance at the closing ceremony. She delivered a timely and significant message to the attendees.
During the closing ceremony, the finalists of G. and Bb. Kalikasan proudly displayed their distinctive and repurposed garments. In addition, winners of the various competitions received recognition.
Overall, the Science Month celebration achieved its intended goals, thus signifying its success.
