Based on paragraph 22 of DO.No.22 s.2023 ,there shall be an annual five-day break that shall be spent for the conduct of the Midyear Performance Review and Evaluation and the School-Based In-service Training (INSET) of teachers. For SY 2023-2024, the five-day midyear break shall be from January 24-26 and January 29-30, 2024.The five-day midyear break shall be devoted to the conduct of school-based INSET activities for the teachers and preparation of instructional materials.
During the five-day midyear break, the School held an “INSET on Transforming and Intensifying Teachers’ Competencies, Performance, and Professionalism in Sustaining Quality Education” in all learning areas on January 24-26, 29-30, 2024, at the TVNHS Multipurpose Room, which was attended by all teaching personnel from the school.
Our Day 1 Resource Speaker, Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, HT III, explained in full details the RPMS Midyear Review and the MOVs that need to be accomplished. Day 2 Resource Speakers, Mrs. Sherwida Jawali, Asatidz, discussed thoroughly the Arabic Greetings and Simple Expressions.
while Mr. Abdullah Macaampao, Asatidz, explained the Things Prohibited in Islam Muslim Cultural Food. In the afternoon session of Day 2, Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, HT I, discussed clearly the process of crafting a Training Program Proposal and Activity Proposal.
Day 3 Resource Speakers, Mrs. Jenilyn S. Loyola, Master Teacher I, shared her expertise in crafting Project Proposal while Mrs. Lynn T. Dimacali , Teacher III, explained the ways in Writing Business Correspondence as guided by the D.O. 030, s.2019 .
The presentation and critiquing of outputs was conducted during Day 4. Breakout session as well as the closing program was conducted on Day 5.
There was an active participation and sharing of ideas from the participants from Day 1 to Day 5 which made the whole INSET a successful one.
