The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the City Government of General Trias, through its Public Employment Service Office, have initiated a Career Advocacy and Employment Coaching (CAEC) program at TVNHS, in which all Grade 10 learners participated. The program’s goal is to prepare the students for employment.
The first coach-lecturer, Ma’am Roxette B. Monton, Career Advocacy and Employment Coaching Officer, clearly discussed “career pathing,” which may assist our learners in deciding which future job path to pursue.
Ma’am Monton also stressed the variations in the meanings of employment, unemployment, and underemployment, which prompted grade 10 students to actively participate in answering the speaker’s questions.
The second coach-lecturer, Ma’am Annabelle A. Trinidad, Career Advocacy and Employment Coaching Officer, discussed the overall concept of employment, the career tools to prepare for employment, and the grooming attire for the interview.
The students showed a high level of attentiveness and curiosity during the discussion, prompting them to ask thought-provoking questions of the speakers.
The open forum part was indeed a platform where ideas, thoughts, and questions were tackled in an open environment.
The program concluded with great hopes that students had received insights that would help them make firm decisions about their future paths.
