TVNHS Conducts Annual Career Guidance for Grade 10
In support of Republic Act 10533 and Republic Act 11206, TVNHS conducted its annual Career Guidance Orientation program with the theme “GEARING UP FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE: FOSTERING CAREER UNDERSTANDING AND CAREER DECISION MAKING” at TVNHS Covered Court, attended by selected teachers and G10 students on April 4.
The two-session program aimed to guide secondary-level students in choosing career tracks that they intend to pursue through informed career choices to become productive and contributing individuals.
The program’s first part began with a warm welcome from Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV. Ms. Irene M. Dulay, Grade 10 Curriculum Chairperson, shared the program’s purpose statement, followed by a display of professional costumes by Grade 10 students.
The participants were inspired and astonished by the invited speakers: Ms. Hadassah V. Recare, Teacher I; Ms. Gerlie Ann Penpeña, Human Resource Consultant; and Mr. Jhoniel Y. Apacible, Custom Administrator, who are former students at TVNHS.
The discussion on correct decision-making and career understanding was successful. After a quick open forum, the guests received a certificate of recognition, and the students who won the best professional attire received an award.
Meanwhile, after the lunch break, the Association of Career Guidance and Orientation Professionals in Cavite conducted a career fair for TVNHS Grade 10 students in the afternoon program.
The participants were honored to listen to the career orientation of different participating schools, such as the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Molino Campus, PNTC Colleges, National Colleges of Science and Technology (NCST)-Main and NCST-IIIRT, De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, National University Dasmariñas, First Uniting Christian School, St. Joseph Academy of Dasmariñas Inc., AISAT College, and FEAPITSAT College of Dasmariñas.
After awarding certificates of appreciation to the participating schools and the association, the program ended with a closing message by Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III.
