Tropical Village National High School shared its best practices on the Madrasah Education Program (MEP) with SDO Bacoor City during the benchmarking activity on April 5.
Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, Principal IV, presented the best practices of the school in the implementation of the Madrasah Education Program (MEP). He discussed the different activities that the school is conducting for Muslim learners. He proudly mentioned to the benchmarking team the inclusion of Muslim prayer, food for thought during the flag-raising ceremony, and AERCA for teachers.
Dr. Creus also mentioned the Musabaqah, a culminating activity that showcases Muslim learners’ talents and skills, as well as the recognition of Muslim learners who excelled during their Arabic Language and Islamic Values (ALIVE) classes.
In addition, he proudly showed the facilities and Arabic signages that the school provides for the Muslim learners.
After he presented the activities, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, together with Dr. Rogin O. Contemprator, PSDS-Cluster 8, Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, Mrs. Susan C. Sibulo, Head Teacher I, Mr. Jaymark C. Doca, School MEP Coodinator, and the asatidz, accompanied Mr. Nereus V. Malinis, EPS-AP, Ms. Nancy M. Eclarinal, Principal IV-Aniban Central School, and Ms. Imelda S. Bautista, Principal II-Zapote ES, SDO-Bacoor City benchmarking team, to the ALIVE classroom, handwashing, and ablution area.
The asatidz, Ustadz Abdullah Macaampao, Ustadzah Sherwida Jawali, and Ustadz Monaim Mohammad showcased the ALIVE classroom, DLP, and activity sheets. Ustadz Macaampao taught the team how to properly write names in Arabic and also demonstrated the use of the ablution area.
Overall, the benchmarking activity was a success because the SDO-Bacoor City was able to gain ideas in preparation for MEP implementation in their respective schools.
