TVNHS Administers National Learning Camp Pre- Assessment for Grade 7 and 8 Learners
Pursuant to Memorandum DM-OUCT-2023-148 entitled “Conduct of the National Learning Camp (NLC) Assessment on English, Science, and Mathematics”, Tropical Village National High School began administering the computer-based Pre-Assessment on National Learning Camp to Grade 7 and 8 learners, June 26.
The NLC Assessment which is an online computer-based assessment used an assessment tool that is designed to identify the effectiveness of the learning camp intervention on the learning proficiencies of participating learners before and after the conduct of the said program.
ICT teachers led by Mr. Jeffrey M. Rodil, Mrs. Jacqueline D. Leaban, and Mrs. Mary Ann Egama, facilitated the conduct of NLCA in which they prepared the testing room, as well as the laptops that will be used for the said assessment.
Grade 7 and 8 learners who were divided into two batches were required to take an exam encompassing the subject areas of English, Mathematics, and Science, using multiple-choice items to assess varying levels of skills and competencies. The examinees used the laptops donated by the Local Government Unit of the City of General Trias as they took the test.
For the smooth administration of the said assessment, it was closely monitored by Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, School Head, together with Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III.
The National Learning Camp Assessment (NLC) is one of the learning recovery strategies aligned with the MATATAG Agenda in order to provide concrete, targeted education system reforms.
The NLC Assessment Pre-Test shall be administered until July 7, 2023 to all Grades 7 and 8 learners enrolled in SY 2022-2023 while the Post-Test will be conducted in August 2023 to Grades 8 and 9 learners, SY 2023-2024.
