SDO Gentri, under the headship of Dr. Daisy Z. Miranda, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent, and Dr. Lualhati O. Cadavedo, Asst. Schools Division Superintendent, launched Division Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off 2023 on August 11 at the General Trias Cultural and Convention Center.
The event, which was attended by all public elementary and secondary schools, started with a motorcade from the SDO Gentri Office to the General Trias Cultural and Convention Center and then proceeded with a program proper, which was attended by the top management, LGU, major stakeholders, school heads, stakeholders, teachers, and students.
During the program, Dr. Daisy Z. Miranda, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent, discussed the implementation of BE. Also, she mentioned the different supports and how to categorize the materials to be used during Brigada Eskwela.
Furthermore, City Vice Mayor, Hon. Jonas Glyn P. Labuguen, gave his message of support on behalf of City Mayor, Luis A. Ferrer IV.
The city councilors, Hon. Vivencio Q. Lozares Jr., Hon. J-M. Vergel M. Columna, Hon. Jesse Raphael R. Grepo, SK Federation President, Hon. Reienel Ferrer, and LNB President, Hon. Ireneo C. Hatid, also graced the event.
Moreover, Ms. Leah Anne A. Misenas, Senior Education Program Specialist on Social Mobilization and Networking, reminded the participants about Deped Partnership Advocacy. She also reported the accomplishments of last year’s Brigada Eskwela 2022.
Several intermission performances by teachers and students as well as a raffle run by LGU and invited guests kept the audience entertained.
Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, School Head, Mrs. Mariglo S. Bayot, Head Teacher III, OIC Department Heads, and a number of teachers represented Tropical Village National High School at the kickoff.
The event ended full of vivacious energy which marked the beginning of school-based activities.
