TVNHS officially begins Intramurals 2023
TVNHS, along with its Tropicalian family and Principal IV, Dr. Mark Airon P. Creus, has formally begun the latest Intramurals sports event of this year with the theme “Building Teamwork and Camaraderie Through Sports” for all students and teachers on November 13, 2023 packed with entertaining acts for all learners.
Led by hosts Mrs. Ma. Andrea S. Arbonida and Mrs. Jade Rhodie B. Dela Rama, the event opened with introducing all grade levels and their players to the event with a special performance of the drum and lyre and an oath of sportsmanship from the school’s very own SSLG President Wafa Omar in order to introduce the guidelines and rules of the wide event to the participants.
Meanwhile, the honor of doing the torch relay and lighting, the symbolic start of a sports event, were given to TVNHS’s fearless boxing star, Mark Eugene Garcia and with his help, the competition’s message of sportsmanship and peace were commenced.
“This prestigious event stands as a symbol of our commitment,” said Sir Creus during his words of motivation for Tropicalian learners.
Alongside special guests were present in this event, Dr. Rogin O. Contemprato, PSDS of Cluster 8, and alumni Mr. Kenneth E. Llover, WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental Bantamweight Champion and Mr. Cromwell P. Garcia, Volleyball Coach, LPU Cavite & Manila and MPVL/Rizal who also shared their words of motivation tied to their history in the school to all participants.
Also, the event showcased talent filled exhibitions from all grade levels to start the Intramurals with a lighthearted and welcoming manner filled with acts and performances done by the students themselves.
Furthermore, the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals competition garnered the loudest cheers from viewers in attendance with the competition also having of 4 victors starting from ”Best in Sportswear” winners and Mr. and Ms. Intrams being deservingly won by Grade 9 and Grade 10 representatives.
Moreover, each grade level also showed exemplary ability in cheering during the Yell competition joined by the talented Grade 7-Green Virtuous, Grade 8- Blue Generals, Grade 9-Red Wolverines, and Grade 10- Blue Warriors which all received positive reactions from the judges and viewers
